Rooted in Wonder
Synergy Herbal Works began as a calling long before it became a business. From childhood walks in the woods to years spent in clinical healthcare, I was always drawn to the wisdom woven into creation itself. I came to see that God placed healing in the earth and in us, if we learn to listen.
After working in respiratory and patient care, my journey turned toward herbal medicine, where science met Spirit. I studied under skilled clinicians, trained in formulation, and began working with clients to restore balance through natural means. Each tincture and tea became both a prayer and a practice, honoring God’s intricate design for the body and plants.
What started in my kitchen has grown into Tennessee’s largest apothecary, now offering 489 wildcrafted and organic botanicals. Today, Synergy Herbal Works is more than a shop, it’s a destination for education, healing, and connection. Visitors come to experience creation’s medicine firsthand, to learn, and to rediscover what it means to partner with the wisdom of the body.
As Synergy continues to grow, our purpose remains clear: to bridge faith and function, creation and skill, so that every person who walks through our doors finds the tools and truth to restore the wellness they were designed for.

Come to Life
In 2018, driven by a calling to create a space that embodied both sanctuary and service, Sherri founded the first Synergy location in Sparta, Tennessee. It wasn’t simply a shop: it was an invitation to be a place where people could rediscover their profound connection between body, spirit, and mind.
Over time, the apothecary expanded from tinctures and teas to include salves, soaps, tonics, educational offerings, and classes. Their apothecary now blends house-made formulas with thoughtfully sourced botanicals, always curated to uplift the body’s innate wisdom. As the team grew, so did Synergy’s reach and a second location was opened in Cookeville in October of 2024.
From that first vision, the mission was always more than herb sales. It has been about holistic wellness, about empowering individuals to partner with their own bodies, and about restoring community through shared knowledge.
Today, when you stroll through the doors of Synergy Herbal Works, you don’t just see bottles and jars, you enter a living ecosystem of intention, rooted in Appalachian soil and spiritual integrity.
