(Community Supported Herbalism)
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines a CSA as a “community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community’s farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production.” Members of a CSA, sometimes referred to as shareholders, pre-buy such products as fresh produce, free-range eggs, flowers, or grass-fed beef from the farm, as a way to pledge their financial support to cover the farm’s operating costs. Members obtain their farm goods by picking them up at the farm or a designated pick-up location, or sometimes by having them delivered right to their front door.
In our herbal CSA, we are seeking to expose our customer's to plant based healing, wellness, and education through monthly delivery of fresh herbs, herbal medicines, and herbal products along with recipes and information on plants and various herbs. We use herbs and products from our farm, other sourced material will be organic or organically grown from trusted sources.
