Tincture Making - Beginner
Time & Location
About the Event
Herbal Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts that have alcohol as the solvent. They can be made with fresh or dried flowers, leaves, roots, barks, or berries. Tinctures are dietary supplements in a concentrated, shelf-stable, and liquid form. Like other herbal extracts, tinctures can be used to support a wide range of wellness goals.
In this class, the herbalist will demonstrate the basics of tincture making at home! This is a beginner level course for those that want to learn what a tincture is and how to make them using folk methods to use with your friends and family.
Each participant will take home supplies to make their own Calm Tincture: pre-measured organic herbs, a quart jar, local, raw honey, and a cheesecloth. Alcohol will not be provided and will need to be purchased separately.
