About the Event
What’s living in your food? In this class Kitty Phillips will explore the roles these microbes play in the
production, preservation, and how fermentation enhances diverse foods. We will look at various
culinary traditions and learn about the history of fermented foods. We will make sauerkraut and
kimchi. You will go home with recipes, a jar, and cabbage to make your first batch of kraut.
